Tax Deductible Room Makeover Opportunity !

The mission of the Room to Heal Foundation is to provide an artistic “healing space” where children affected by serious medical conditions can rest and recover. We re-decorate kids’ rooms, play spaces, hospitals, and foster care homes, to create each child’s room of his or her dreams.

One unique aspect of the Room to Heal Foundation is that it is 100% volunteer run -- no one gets paid a dime. What this means is that we can run on a very low budget. However, even though we are low-budget, we still need some money to operate! We budget $1,000 per room that we do, which is less than most “makeover” programs budget for re-doing any room. We do several rooms per year, so we need several thousand dollars each year, just to keep Room to Heal going.

So far, we have been extremely fortunate that many of our friends and families have made Room to Heal one of their charities of choice, when it comes to donations. We are extremely thankful for that!

Typically, Room to Heal foundation only does room makeovers for chronically ill children. However, in a new fundraising effort, we are going to try something new: we are offering a room makeover in exchange for a donation to Room to Heal Foundation. We are auctioning the room through a silent bidding process, and the highest bid will get their room done (winning bidder will also cover the out of pockets costs of the room, other than paint). Opening bids start at $1,000, as that is the amount to “sponsor” one sick child’s room. If you are interested, please email your bid, and a brief description of theme desired, to roomtoheal@cox.net, BY FRIDAY, MAY 16TH, and we will let you know the winning bid by Wednesday, May 21st.
